Khmer rouge started to take over the country from 17th April 1975 from the government of General LUN NOL and the new Government of Kampuchea Pracheathipatai (កម្ពុជាប្រជាធិបតេយ) under Pol Pot leading, Brother Number One, was established. Khmer Rouge government did not delay on their actions implementing their policies. They started to flee the people from the city or town, even Phnom Penh, to the country side by using the forces and tricks. The regime had been taking from 17thApril 1975 till 07th January 1979. During the power of Kampuchea Prachea Thipatai, nearly 2 millions people killed both direct and indirect. Until now, there is no explanation on why they acted the unbelievable actions to their own people. All the leaders who are in the prison waiting for the trial denied that they did not act so kind of actions to their beloved people and they did deny that they knew nothing about killing and punishing the people during their power. It's unacceptable to hear this as they were government leaders which they should know what was the government doing and how were the people in every corner of the country. They must not say that they did not know about that. It has been harmful for Cambodians. What we need right now is responsibilities and explanation to the performances of the government of Kampuchea Pracheathipatai . Why they killed the people? Why they hated the educated people? Why did they hate rich people? Why the rice produced by Cambodians cannot be used to feed themselves? Why they are trying to convince that they did not know about that? Who did it? Many more questions are waiting for the answer which we can use to:2- Use as the lesson for the new generation of leaders for avoiding the so action.
Again, the leaders of Khmer Rouges should not try to get away from the responsibilities that they must take and they should give the answers and explanation to Cambodians as well as to the world.
